Prince Edward Island to Halifax, NS

After a brief set back...we had to get the slide on our trailer worked on.  It was not aligned correctly and was making terrible noises.  We lucked out finding a really nice RV dealership/repair place in Saint John, NB.  Joe Cote, the Service Manager couldn't have been nicer...then back on the road.

Our East Coast journey continues with a trip out to Prince Edward Island.  Had to go across a fairly long bridge that had a fairly large toll.  It was $45.50 Canadian, which is about $35 U.S. dollars. Rather steep I think.  The island had a beautiful drive around the outer coastline.  Very pretty.  Saw several lighthouses (not too impressive as you can see from the picture).  Lots and lots of potato farming on the island.  Went into the town of Charlottetown and of course...had lunch and did a little shopping.

Not too impressed with the lighthouses
Along the drive we encountered some impressive coastline though.   Beautiful red sandstone cliffs. And of course we continued our Geocaching.  Trying to cover all U. S. States eventually and the Canadian Provinces.

From Prince Edward Island we headed towards Halifax, Nova Scotia.  Had an interesting day exploring the downtown area.  Went to the Maritime Museum where they have artifacts from the Titantic and out to the Cemetery where some of the victims are buried.

The next day we went out to Peggy's Cove, NS and took a scenic loop around that area.  The lighthouse out there was much more impressive and the coastline was rugged and beautiful.  Made many stops to take pictures.

Our journey continues tomorrow, going on up north towards Sydney, NS.  Will stay a week or so in that area, exploring the Cabot Trail and probably taking a ferry out to Newfoundland. Looking forward to more adventures.  Enjoy!!
